Founded by Nikolaus and Valerie Leopold, grandchildren of the esteemed collector and museum founder Rudolf Leopold, Leopold Fine Arts continues a proud tradition of expertise in Austrian art from the 19th to the 21st century. We specialise in trading works by the most prominent figures of the Viennese Secession, including Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, and Koloman Moser, as well as outstanding Austrian artists such as Alfred Kubin, Richard Gerstl, Albin Egger-Lienz, Max Oppenheimer, Anton Kolig, Emil Jakob Schindler, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Franz Sedlacek, and Rudolf Wacker. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting emerging contemporary artists who are redefining the Austrian art landscape.
At the heart of our work lies the Leopold Private Collection, one of the foremost private collections of Austrian art. We are dedicated to both preserving and thoughtfully developing this collection through carefully selected acquisitions, research, and conservation efforts. By facilitating significant loans to exhibitions in Austria and internationally, we ensure these artworks are regularly presented in leading cultural institutions, where they are placed in dialogue with other significant works, allowing their art historical context to be re-examined and newly illuminated.
