Founded by Nikolaus and Valerie Leopold – grandchildren of the esteemed art collector and museum founder Rudolf Leopold – Leopold Fine Arts proudly continues a distinguished tradition: expertise in Austrian art from the 19th to the 21st century.
Our focus is on Viennese Modernism, representing masters such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, and Koloman Moser. In addition, we represent outstanding Austrian artists including Alfred Kubin, Richard Gerstl, Albin Egger-Lienz, Max Oppenheimer, Anton Kolig, Emil Jakob Schindler, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, Franz Sedlacek, and Rudolf Wacker. Furthermore, we are dedicated to supporting emerging contemporary artists who are redefining Austria’s artistic landscape.
At the heart of our work lies the Leopold Private Collection – one of the most significant private collections of Austrian art. Our aim is to preserve and continuously expand this collection through strategic acquisitions, in-depth research, and meticulous conservation efforts. By facilitating loans to renowned cultural institutions both in Austria and abroad, we ensure that these artworks are regularly showcased. In doing so, they engage in an inspiring dialogue with other masterpieces, offering fresh perspectives on their art historical context.
