We see collecting as a personal and enduring engagement with art – shaped by experience, curiosity and the pleasure of discovering something exceptional.
We advise collectors and institutions personally and discreetly on the acquisition and sale of significant works of art, as well as on building collections. We also provide guidance on provenance research and collection management. Throughout, we place particular emphasis on integrity, diligence and the highest standards of scholarship.
Our particular expertise lies in Vienna around 1900 and Austrian Modernism, drawing on the collecting tradition of Rudolf Leopold, grandfather of Nikolaus and Valerie Leopold. This includes works by Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Koloman Moser, Alfred Kubin, Richard Gerstl, Albin Egger-Lienz, Max Oppenheimer, Anton Kolig, Franz Sedlacek and Rudolf Wacker.
Through loans from private collections, we support international museum and exhibition projects. We also support selected contemporary artists, curators and projects in Austria and internationally.
